One of the top tennis players of the 2010s was Andy Murray, a Scottish professional. He has won three Grand Slam tournaments and two Olympic gold medals in men’s singles, among other accomplishments. Murray reached the top spot in the ATP player rankings on November 7, 2016, and he is now at no. 50. He has won 46 championships in his career and has a 710-225 win-loss record overall.

Andy’s talent extends beyond the tennis courts since the Scot has amassed a sizeable sum of money from tournament winnings and endorsements, which has allowed him to assist others in need. As a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF, Andy Murray has undertaken numerous missions with that organization, the majority of which have been focused on assisting Syrian refugees and advancing methods of battling diseases like malaria and cancer. This relationship is the foundation of Andy Murray’s philanthropy.

Andy Murray announced back in March this year that he would donate all of his prize money to Ukraine UNICEF Aid to help Ukrainian children suffering from Russia’s invasion of their country. Hollywood star Ben Stiller has hailed the three-time Slam champion for this decision.

Stiller is a big tennis fan and has often been seen in front-row seats at the sport’s top events. He tweeted: “So much respect for ⁦@andy_murray⁩ shining a light on the millions of people – and children – still affected by this senseless war in #Ukraine.” The Reality Bites, Zoolander and There’s Something About Mary actor has been a long-time Murray fan, meeting him at the 2013 US Open, a year after the British star took the Flushing Meadows title.
