The ongoing mixed-gender event United Cup in Australia has caught the attention of everyone. The tournament is appreciated for the camaraderie between the participating players during the matches. Tennis icon Christ Evert too has reacted after seeing Rafael Nadal cheering for his Spanish teammate Paula Badosa in one of the Group D clashes.

Badosa registered a win for her team by defeating British Harriet Dart in a grueling match that lasted for three hours. During the match, Nadal was seen screaming for his teammate and also giving her some tips during the breaks. This has won the heart of everyone on the internet including the former World No.1 Evert.

Talking about Rafael Nadal and the support for teammates seen during the event in general she wrote, “There’s a lot to be said for these team competitions like #UnitedCup in tennis…The men and women players cheer for each other. In the three-hour-long match, Paula Badosa defeated 98th-ranked Dart at the United Cup 6-7 (6) 7-6 (5) 6-1. This was the only win registered by the Spanish team in the Group D clash. After the match, Badosa appreciated the support she received from the 22-time Grand Slam champion Nadal.

“Well, he’s very into the matches. I really appreciate that. Yeah, he’s very supportive. Yeah, I mean, a little bit of the game, stay aggressive. He was really going, like, telling me, like, stay very aggressive, especially with my forehand, with the serve,” Badosa said post-match.
