One can love or hate Novak Djokovic’s roar, but one can’t ignore it. The quintessential Novak Djokovic’s roar during his matches stir up a lot of emotions for his fans and haters alike. In his third-round match in the Italian Open against Grigor Dimitrov, the 35-year-old won the match in 3 sets, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1. Djokovic let out his roar when he went for a double break up against the Bulgarian in the third set.

An interesting match to watch, where in the first set both players broke each other’s first service game. In Novak Djokovic‘s second service game also, Dimitrov challenged him with 2 break points. But the Serbian fended off the break points by winning 4 straight points and holding his service game. Djokovic then went on to break Dimitrov’s second service and in turn won the first set.

In the second set, Djokovic was leading with a score of 4-2 and it looked like an easy road to victory for the World No. 1. But Grigor Dimitrov fought back and won 4 games in succession, tying the match score to one set a piece and going on to a decider third set. Djokovic’s frustration with losing the second set was palpable, and he came back in the third set very strongly. He broke the Bulgarian two times to ensure his win and only then let out his ROAR!

Novak Djokovic fans who live to see their champion roar, went ballistic with the Serb’s reaction after breaking Dimitrov two times in the third set. The energy of the World No. 1 transcended his fans even through their watching screens.

But of course, Djokovic has a large list of haters who find his roar despicable. Some of them felt such a reaction is unnecessary when the Serb is playing a middle-of-the-pack tennis player, ranked 33, Dimitrov who has not really been a threat of late.
