Frances Tiafoe pulled off the unthinkable as he eliminated 22-time grand slam champion, Rafael Nadal in the round of 16 fixture of the ongoing US Open, Tiafoe managed to beat the Spaniard in over four sets that ended his dreams for grand slam number 23, and the American professional was lauded for his performance by many across various social media platforms.

One of the highlights of the day was Frances Tiafoe wearing a hoodie that paid tribute to the retiring legend, Serena Williams. The American professional trolled former world number 1, Chris Evert, in an interview by calling Serena Williams the GOAT. When asked about what he was wearing and who inspired Tiafoe by Evert, Tiafoe replied in a hilarious manner.

He said, “Obviously the GOAT, Serena Williams. Sorry, Chrissie,” Tiafoe burst out laughing as he apologized to Chris Evert for calling Williams the GOAT instead of her as Evert is widely recognized as a fair competition for Serena Williams for the title of the GOAT.

After managing to defeat Rafael Nadal in the round of 16 tie, Frances Tiafoe will be going up against Andrey Rublev in the quarter-finals stages of the US Open which promises to be an exciting match.
