Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa confirmed their relationship by posting a video together on social media. The two tennis stars were seen in a video where Badosa was tying Tsitsipas’ hair while the Greek recorded. The video is from their getaway in Dubai, where tennis’ newest couple is taking a break after the French Open.

The couple were speculated to be together in recent days. The rumors began when Badosa was spotted watching Tsitsipas’ French Open match against Sebastian Ofner. After that match, Tsitsipas made a curious comment post-match, hinting at some information about his personal life. When asked post-match about what he does on his days off, the Greek player said, “I listen to music lately, a lot. Let’s keep that for another time.”

Tsitsipas’ words didn’t escape the ears of keen fans. A fan quickly spotted the Spotify profiles of both Tsitsipas and Badosa with an interesting detail. The profile pictures on both accounts were selfies of Badosa and Tsitsipas. Fans of both were excited seeing this and the speculation quickly emerged. The video of them together adds fuel to the fire.

The couple were both featured separately in the Netflix documentary Break Point. Badosa is currently WTA World Number 29 but withdrew from the French Open due to a stress fracture. Tsitsipas was the fifth seed in Paris but was knocked out in the quarterfinals.

Tsitsipas was one of the contenders for the title. He had reached the final of the Australian Open, where he lost to Novak Djokovic. He had a good history at the Roland Garros, having reached the 2021 final. The consensus was that Tsitsipas was ready to take the next step and go all the way. He started the tournament against Jiri Vesely.

He won the game in four sets to progress to the second round. His next match was against Spanish player Roberto Carballes Baena. He beat him in straight sets, with one going to a tiebreak. Tsitsipas faced Diego Schwartzman in the fourth round. He was dispatched in straight sets too. Badosa was in attendance as he defeated Ofner to make it to the quarterfinals. The straight sets match featured a ‘bagel’ set too.

Tsitsipas was up against World Number 1 Carlos Alcaraz for a semifinal spot. The Spaniard had a 100% win record against Tsitsipas and was the favorite. Alcaraz defeated Tsitsipas convincingly in straight sets in what was a humbling defeat for the Greek. Tsitsipas will be looking to go further at Wimbledon next month.
