In a recent video, Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas confirmed his pairing with his long-time girlfriend, Paula Badosa, in the mixed doubles category of the World Tennis League. The tournament will take place in Abu Dhabi, scheduled to start on the 21st of December, 2023.

The World No.6 will play in team Kites in the upcoming World Tennis League. While announcing his participation with Badosa, the Greek tennis professional said,

Eight days to go... I can't wait to be a part of team Kites and play mixed doubles with Paula... See you soon in Abu Dhabi.

The very popular tennis couple had also planned to play the mixed doubles at the 2023 Wimbledon and almost went through with this plan. However, during one of her matches in the singles draw, Paula Badosa had to pull out of the tournament due to injury concerns. Thus, their plan to doubles together at such a large stage failed. Nevertheless, the couple are in the same team for the tournament in Abu Dhabi and fans will get the chance to witness them share the court.

Surprisingly, following their withdrawal from the mixed doubles category in Wimbledon earlier this year, Tsitsipas expressed his relief on not playing that category at the Slam as he felt playing 3 events in a single Slam would definitely be very burdening for him. He was glad his schedule was a bit more free and relaxed.
