Barcelona Open, one of the season’s first clay-court tournaments, is set to commence on the 13th of April, 2024. They have hosted the tournament for many years, releasing great champions. Featuring top players, the tournament has acquired a lot of fans’ love, as they seem excited about the entry list.

A new player joins the confirmed list for the clay court tournament. It is their three-time finalist, Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Greek player has had immense success in clay courts before and is one of the favorites heading into the tournament.

Recently, the Barcelona Open’s official X account posted a Tsitsipas compilation video, signaling his confirmed entry. Featuring his one-handed backhands, the top Greek player has had immense success on Clay Courts and is ready to smash his way through the tournament.

The last time he was here, the 25-year-old had worked his way up to the finals, before losing to the eventual champion Carlos Alcaraz. That was his third time in the finals of Barcelona, and he is soon expected to win a title and get his clay court season underway.

Stefanos Tsitsipas, the Greek pro is the new confirmed participant at the upcoming Barcelona Open. He joins the star-studded list of athletes for his first clay-court season.

He joins the defending champion, Carlos Alcaraz, and the returning star Rafael Nadal, as the confirmed list of participants for the tournament. This is one of the confirmed tournaments for Nadal, whose entry depends on his run at the Sunshine Double. If the Spaniard finished the US tour unscathed, then there is a high chance to confirm his entry in Barcelona.

With all eyes on the Spanish duo, the Greek pro might have a chance to cause a few major upsets in the tournament and possibly win his first Barcelona Open. After coming so close thrice, the fourth time might be the charm for the Greek champion, who is in wonderful touch this year.
