Stefanos Tsitsipas discloses Paula Badosa as his and brother Petros’ doubles coach

Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas has credited his girlfriend Paula Badosa for his doubles success alongside his brother Petros Tsitsipas. The siblings recently won their first-ever doubles title together.
At the recently concluded European Open in Antwerp, the Greek doubles pair defeated Adam Pavlasek and Ariel Behar 6-7(5), 6-4, 10-8 in 1 hour and 37 minutes to lift the title.
While Stefanos Tsitsipas has previously won a doubles title alongside Feliciano Lopez at the 2022 Acapulco Open, this was his brother Petros’ first tour-level doubles title.

After the winning pair was handed the title, Stefanos dragged Badosa onto the court and got her to pose in front of the camera. The couple posed alone as well as with Tsitsipas’ family, who were in attendance. Stefanos, Petro Tsitsipas, their mother, Father Apostolos, and Paula Badosa all posed together.
In an interview with Tennis Channel‘s presenter Prakash Amritraj on the sidelines of the Paris Masters, Tsitsipas revealed that his girlfriend Paula Badosa is the siblings’ doubles coach. Stefanos revealed:
Winning our first doubles title together meant so much for me, for him, for my parents that were there, for Paula who is our doubles coach.
The 25-year-old further said that the Spaniard spent a few hours on the court with the pair to train them at the recently concluded US Open. The Greek pair were knocked out in a close second-round encounter by the second-seeded pair of Ivan Dodig and Austin Krajicek. Nevertheless, according to Tsitsipas:
she was there along the way, preparing us for these kind of matches & being present.
Stefanos Tsitsipas books his spot in the round of 16 of Paris Masters
Greek No. 1 Stefanos Tsitsipas put on a stunning display in the second round of the Paris Masters as he breezed past Canadian pro Felix Aulger-Aliassime to book a spot in the round of 16. The 7th seed defeated Auger-Aliassime 6-3, 7-6(4) in one hour and 48 minutes to improve his year win-loss record to 49-21. The Greek would be looking forward to winning his 2nd tour-level title of the year and his 3rd Masters title overall courtesy of a deep run in Paris.
The 25-year-old is 6th in the race to qualify for the ATP Finals to be played in Turin, Italy, and would be looking towards confirming his spot through a decent showing at the Paris Masters.
Tsitsipas won the 2019 edition of the year-end championship, defeating Austrian pro Dominic Thiem in the final. The 7th seed faces the winner of the second-round clash between 10th seed Alexander Zverev and home favorite Ugo Humbert in the round of 16 tomorrow.
