Football is much more than just a mere sport. For some, it is an emotion. It has the power to unite people all across the world of various ethnicities, races, creeds, religions, nationalities, etc. together. Similar scenes came all across the world as Argentina and France played against each other in the Final to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The Final match was played by only a few players but was watched by millions. A night that everybody will remember. A spectacular match it was. A match full of thrills, drama, celebrations, and ofcourse, emotions. Unsurprisingly, everyone on the internet is talking about the FIFA World Cup 2022 Final.
Argentina was leading till halftime with a scoreline of 2-0 on the back of Lionel Messi and Angel di Maria’s goals until Kylian Mbappe scored two goals within a span of 97 seconds to take the match into extra-time. However, Messi scored another goal to give Argentina the lead. But Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick of goals when he converted a penalty and brought France back into the game.
The match went into penalties. Both Messi and Mbappe scored from the spot-kicks. However, except for Kolo Muani, none of the French players could score from the spot-kick. On the other hand, all Argentine players scored and Argentina won the World Cup 4-2 on penalties.
Tennis Players celebrate Argentina’s victory
The tennis players too are vocal on social media and are commenting vigorously on last night’s final. The list includes some of the top players on the tennis circuit. Most are celebrating Argentina’s win over France. The long dream of Lionel Messi to lift the World Cup is finally complete.
World No.4 Stefanos Tsitsipas is very happy for Lionel Messi as he celebrates Argentina’s third World Cup victory.
“Messi is invincible. Happiest man on earth!” his caption read.
The American tennis player Sloane Stephens and tennis legend Kim Clijsters also cheered on Lionel Messi.
The veteran Victoria Azarenka is celebrating Argentina’s victory. She has particularly celebrated the heroics of Emiliano Martinez. He played spectacularly well throughout the final match. He saved two penalties to deny France to regain the FIFA World Cup title.
One of the greatest Argentine tennis players and 2016 Davis Cup winner Juan Martin del Potro seems to agree with Victoria Azarenka.
“Vamosss vikaaa,” he replied.
However, many tennis players enjoyed the match as it unfolded. They commented on the spectacular scenes they witnessed and loved it.
“What a match. So inspiring,” World No.1 Iga Swiatek wrote.
“This is the best World Cup final ever,” the World No.2 Ons Jabeur wrote.
Meanwhile, The World No.7 Coco Gauff became a football fan after witnessing the final.

The party will continue in Argentina for many days. Moreover, all the football fans who love Messi will cherish these moments for years.
