World No. 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas has a tough task in front of him in the second round of the Wimbledon Championships when he plays the four-time Grand Slam winner Andy Murray in front of his local fans. Stefanos has been surrounded with a lot of statements after his recent relationship with Paula Badosa went public with questions being raised against his professionalism. Although the Greek is an absolute favorite going into the match, Murray on a grass court is something no tennis player would want to take lightly.

Tsitsipas was asked in a pre-match conference about how he feels about facing the Brit and what memories he has from the US Open encounter between the duo a couple of years ago. There was a small exchange of words between the duo in that match and Tsitsipas recalled the situation saying, “Yeah, I think it has been settled already a long time ago. We had to play Laver Cup together in the same team. I’ve forgotten about it. He has forgotten about it.”

Stefanos also talked about how much he respects him and looks up to him for what Andy has done in the last decade of tennis. He is very excited about the match and looking forward to it trying to learn plenty from it. He added, “Regardless of the outcome, I feel like I really want to go out there and give it a shot and aim for being super strong and disciplined in that match because it will require lots of that. If I’m in there persistent and focused on my goal, I feel like anything is possible.”

Will this be Andy Murray’s last chance at another Wimbledon title?

Andy Murray has always turned into a special player whenever he has played at the Wimbledon beating the likes of Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer who have also been one of the greatest tennis players on grass. Having had two Wimbledon titles to his name and going on again this year with almost no hopes considering he is way past his prime, Murray is still the man to beat in this special competition.

Talking about his retirement he has already made it clear a couple of months ago saying, “I mean, I have an idea in my head of when I would like to stop. That’s not definitive. A lot of that is just I think it is good to do that so you can start planning a little bit. I’m aware, based on how my last sort of five, six years have gone, that things can change very quickly, as well. I’m keeping an open mind to that. Yeah, I do have an idea of when I’d like to stop, yeah.”

So, this might be the last chance for the Brit to seriously have any chance of making it to three Wimbledon titles but he faces a tough task in the second round against fifth seed Tsitsipas.
