World No.6 Stefanos Tsitsipas has a very good and inseparable relationship with his father and coach, Apostolos Tsitsipas, despite the frequent indifferences between the two. However, his father has not been attending the Paris Masters alongside the Greek ace.

Stefanos Tsitsipas had a comfortable victory against Karen Khachanov in the quarter-finals to overcome his opponent in straight and easy sets. Tsitsipas after his victory revealed that he felt lost on the court without the support and guidance of his father and coach, Apostolos Tsitsipas.

It was difficult being away from him, because I felt like my tennis wasn't as structured on a daily basis.

Stefanos Tsitsipas indeed looked lost on court after his semi-final loss against Bulgarian, Grigor Dimitrov, in a 3 set thriller. The Greek looked out of shape and structure and was very much in need of his coach and father.

Stefanos had earlier talked about the value of his father’s presence alongside him during matches. He had mentioned,

The only person I would like to have by my side to travel with me, if it wasn't my father, it would be my coach at home in Greece. Unfortunately, his situation does not allow him to travel and be with me.

On being asked how he felt on his father not being available to him during the Paris Masters, the 2023 Australian Open finalist added,

We all like to have a safety net around us. What I mean by that is having people we know and feel familiar with.

Grigor Dimitrov ends Stefanos Tsitsipas’ run at the Paris Masters

Stefanos Tsitsipas failed to reach the finals of the Paris Masters as his dreams were shattered by Bulgarian ace, Grigor Dimitrov, who defeated the Greek in a 3-set thriller. Dimitrov has been looking in good form having recently achieved his 400th career win.

The Bulgarian overcame strong resistance Saturday from seventh-seeded Tsitsipas with a 6-3, 6-7 (1), 7-6 (3) victory to reach the final of the Paris Masters.

Dimitrov will play his second ATP 1000 finals after 2017, where he last won the Nitto ATP Finals Trophy. He is looking in impeccable form but to win the Championship in Paris, the Bulgarian will most probably have to face 6-time Champion, Novak Djokovic, which will pose quite a challenge to him.
