Stefanos Tsitsipas thanked Paula Badosa for showing him the path to being a better person. Their relationship has always been talked about in the tennis media, and it continues to do so.
The Greek has explained that his relationship with Badosa has taught him life beyond tennis. He has also revealed that the Spaniard has helped him understand more important values for everyday life.
Tsitsipas is currently ranked No. 3 in the world, with a total of 27 ATP singles titles under his belt. He has two Masters 1000 titles, both at Monte-Carlo. While the Greek has reached the final of two Grand Slam titles, he has yet to win one.
Paula Badosa, on the other hand, is currently ranked 46th in the world, though she has reached a career-high ranking of No. 2. She has three WTA singles titles to speak for her, one of which was at the Indian Wells Open against Belarussian Victoria Azarenka.
While Tsitsipas will be on the hunt for his first Grand Slam at Flushing Meadows, Badosa will not have this opportunity. She had been forced to withdraw from the tournament on account of an injury. Stefanos will be playing the opening round of the US Open against Milos Raonic on the 28th.

Paula Badosa withdraws from the US Open
Former World No. 2 Paula Badosa withdraws from the US Open after failing to make a full recovery from back injuries. She has also announced that she will not be returning to the tour for the remainder of the 2023 season.
The Spaniard has been forced to withdraw from three of the four majors on account of a back injury. These events pushed her out of the top 25 ranks. Though she did play at Wimbledon, she could not go through with the round 2 match, retiring in the second set.
She has explained that even though her team has been doing everything possible to let her compete, the pain will not allow her to move forward. She hopes to be back on the court for the 2024 season.
