Felix Auger Aliassime has been unstoppable in the last couple of weeks. The Canadian has bagged back-to-back titles and is well on his way to claiming his third consecutive hard-court title. After a tricky start against Swiss tennis player Marc-Andrea Huesler in the first round, Felix has dismantled his opponents in the previous two rounds.

The Canadian defeated Serbian tennis player Miomir Kecmanovic in straight sets in the second round, dropping just a single game. He also defeated Alexander Bublik in the quarterfinals to set up a semifinal showdown with Carlos Alcaraz.

Carlos Alcaraz has played little tennis after his US Open triumph, with the Basel Open being only his second competitive tournament in the last two months. Much like his opponent, Carlos started off on a slow note, being dragged to three sets by British tennis player Jack Draper. However, the last two matches have been routine wins for the top seed, which includes a straight-sets victory over Pablo Carreno Busta.
