The quarter-finals of the Australian Open are to commence as players mentally prepare to face tough opponents. This was not the case for Novak Djokovic who is confident to win against anyone with this form.
The World No.1 who seemed to have gotten his form back beat Adrian Mannarino in straight sets 6-0,6-0,6-3. With this kind of form, he is confident enough to even beat his next opponent Taylor Fritz.

Meanwhile, the American was fresh off an empathetic victory against last year’s finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas. He was then asked to comment on Djokovic’s statements during his post-match conference. Fritz also agreed to Djokovic’s confidence heading into their quarter-final clash solely because of their previous 8 meetings.
I mean, if I beat someone eight times in a row, I'd be pretty confident playing them, too, I'd have to say. I can't really fault him for that. I think the conditions here are definitely better for me than maybe US Open or Cincinnati. I mean, to be honest, the only decent match I've played against him in our last couple meetings was in Turin at the end of '22. In that match I served for the second set. It was pretty close.Said Fritz to the AO press.
The Serbian had beaten Fritz in all their meetings before taking a huge lead in the H2H 8-0. The American only remembers playing well against Djokovic in 2022 and has since not been on top of his form. Having said this, Fritz believes he has a lot more to bring to the defending champion this time around.
When I've played him, I've played pretty poor, I think. I think that I have a lot more level to bring than I've previously brought against him. Hopefully, I can play another match like today.Continuing further, he added
Taylor Fritz was delighted with his performance in the fourth-round match against Stefanos Tsitsipas
American top seed, Taylor Fritz was the only American remaining in the tournament and with that came the added pressure to perform well.

Fortunately for the youngster, he brought his best against last year’s finalist, Stefanos Tsitsipas. Both players went back and forth to win their respective games before the American sealed out the first set in the tie-break.
The second set also went the same way but the Greek star broke in the last minute, equalling Fritz. After that, it was only the Fritz show who was on a different level to win the match and fix a clash with Djokovic.
Delighted with his gameplay, Fritz earned his way into the quarterfinals and hoped to play the same in his next match.
Having dropped out of the Top 10 before the tournament, Fritz gained his spot almost immediately and eyed the bigger prize in the form of the Australian Open trophy.
Fighting his way through a very open draw, the American made his way to his third Grand Slam quarterfinals and doesn’t intend to slow down one bit.
