Taylor Fritz’s girlfriend Morgan Riddle hoping that Netflix’s upcoming tennis documentary can recreate the ‘F1-Drive to Survive’ magic

Taylor Fritz, who won his first ATP Masters title and entered the top ten for the first time this year, has his girlfriend Morgan Riddle as his constant traveling companion. In fact, Riddle is a very keen follower of tennis, who constantly posts pictures from tournaments and life around the tour, something that Netflix is trying to adapt into a behind-the-scenes movie like they did with ‘Formula One: Drive to Survive’.
Riddle recently revealed while responding to a query during an Instagram Q&A session that she hopes Netflix can promote tennis through their upcoming project in the same way as they were able to help Formula One grow in popularity. The Netflix tennis documentary series, that also followed Fritz during this year’s Australian Open tournament, will take a look at players’ lives as they travel from one country to another on the tour, with special focus on the four Grand Slams.
“Very [excited about the Netfliz special]! I hope it does for the sport what it did for F1,” Riddle wrote on her Instagram stories.

Fritz was an instrumental part of Team World that won the 2022 Laver Cup, the first title for the Team. With Roger Federer retiring at the Laver Cup, Team World also made a mark of their own. However, following Federer and Rafael Nadal‘s double defeat to Frances Tiafoe and Jack Sock, the American pair was abused massively on social media.
Regarding the experience at the Laver Cup, Fritz was happy to have helped win the title but expressed his frustration. “But I was pretty upset to see how much hate Frances and Jack got for winning the match and Frances got for hitting Roger or hitting the ball at Rafa at net. This is not an exhibition.
“We are playing for a lot and for a lot of money. It bothered me a lot because I know Roger would have absolutely hated it if they just gave it to him,” said Fritz as reported by Christopher Clarey writing for The New York Times.
