Taylor Fritz earned the win over Stefanos Tsitsipas in the fourth round of the Australian Open. This win took the American to his first-ever quarterfinals of the tournament.

This was also Fritz’s maiden top-10 win at a Major. However, apart from the match results, one more incident that gained the attention of the fans was Fritz’s girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, having a spoonful of vegemite.

For context, Morgan Riddle had promised Fritz before the fourth-round match that she would have a jar of vegemite if Fritz won the match against Tsitsipas.

To which Taylor said after the match

Thus, later on Sunday, Morgan, on her Instagram Live, was seen having a spoonful of Vegemite, as per her words. 

However, she couldn’t handle the taste of vegemite and instantly regretted making the promise. She even went on to vomit after having it.

For the uninitiated, Riddle is a TikTok celebrity and is always seen with Fritz accompanying him on the Tours. Both Fritz and Riddle have been dating since 2021.

After being injury-prone last year, Fritz returned this year in superb fashion. The American didn’t have any difficulty winning the first three matches of the tournament.

His real challenge was on Sunday, when he was up against the 7th-seeded Tsitsipas. However, Fritz turned up big time and clinched the ticket to the quarterfinals. 

Even after a well-deserved win, the 26-year-old will not have any breaks as of now. He will be up against the defending champion, Novak Djokovic, in the quarterfinals of the tournament. Nole is coming off a dominant win over Adrian Mannarino in three sets. With that being said, it seems like it would be a big challenge for the American.
