Simona Halep, the Romanian tennis player, has been in the headlines as her doping test takes a new turn. For almost a couple of years, the Romanian has been banned from the game.
She has appealed her case in front of the respective people and is awaiting the result that will decide her future in tennis.

Halep was banned from tennis on October 7th, when the ITIA checked her blood sample for the previous US Open and decided to issue a ban.
From the start, the two-time Grand Slam winner had been appealing her side of the case, but no action had been taken. Ever since her coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, took the blame, there has been some progress. She recently finished her court appeal and is waiting for the result.
Luckily, there have been a couple of the latest news that could fast-track her way out of the ban and back on the tour. Recently, Ion Tiriac, the former president of the Romanian Olympics, revealed that the blood sample taken by the ITIA was mistreated, and accordingly, she shouldn’t be admitted anywhere.
What can I say about Simona, that I don't know more than you do, because she is not allowed to speak or was advised not to speak? But, given that we now know that the blood sample was somewhat mistreated, let's not- I tell her differently, in Romania, taken at 5:30 in the morning, and it was supposed to be at minus 3 degrees in three hours, in I don't know what laboratory... She should not have been admitted anywhere. Taken even after so long.Said Ion Tiriac via Orange Sport.
With that being said, this new piece of information from a trusted person has the capability to fast-track the decision and hopefully set Halep free.
Simona Halep finds a flickering light of hope as compatriot Maria Sara Popa releases exclusive news
Romanian tennis star Simona Halep has been under a ban issued by the ITIA after they found traces of a foreign substance in her blood sample.

However, things are on the right track for the Romanian, who has appealed her case in front of the court and is waiting for the result. After Tiriac had released news on her blood sample, another news from her compatriot, Maria Sara Popa, also stirred quite a bit of talk in the tennis world.
The 18-year-old had confessed a few things about the academy of Patrick Mouratoglou, who had coached Halep and played some part in issuing her the substance that contained the foreign product.
Admitting to having signed a consent form and being asked to intake a substance in her junior league, the Romanian calls out the academy, giving Halep some leverage in the case. Hoping to return to court, Halep awaits the green light from the higher orders.
