Serena Williams, undoubtedly one of the greatest female athletes in the world, is in the twilight of her career as she will probably play her last singles matches at the 2022 US Open. Since her retirement announcement, she has been the topic of discussion for her incredible contribution to the sport. She has been the pioneer for women’s tennis paving new ways for the generations to come to follow the path she had taken years back since her first title win in the year 1999. Her winning 23 singles Grand Slam titles is the most by a player in the Open era and is just one away from equalling Margaret Court‘s 24.

She made her return to the court during the grass court season and has managed to win only one match out of the four matches she has played. The only win she could pull off was against Nuria Parrizas-Diaz in the first round at the Canadian Open getting a good start to her final matches but soon faced a shocking defeat to Belinda Bencic in straight sets in the next round. She is fresh from a loss against Emma Raducanu in the first round at the Western & Southern Open.
