Novak Djokovic’s absence from the US Open 2022 certainly gave a ton load of setbacks for the tennis community, Rafael Nadal on the other hand is seen enunciating his feelings for the recent issue and talks about how perceives this situation as a colleague and individual tennis professional.

The world is all well aware of the Serb’s recent ban from participating in the Flushing Meadows championship due to his history of Covid-19 vaccination stance which resulted in withdrawing himself from the tournament at the last moment. Nadal, the only standing member of The Big Three in the tournament expressed his position on the controversy saying “The world continues, and tennis will continue after me, Novak and Roger. Every year will be for the slams champion.”

While giving his opinion, Rafael Nadal stated “from my personal perspective it is very sad news. It’s always a shame when the best players of the world are not able to play a tournament because of injuries or different reasons,” and further quoted “tough for the fans, tough for the tournament. In my opinion, tough for the players too because we want to have the best field possible.”

‘The King of Clay’ while spilling his vantage point also pointed out that “the sport in some ways is bigger than any player. I missed a lot of important events in my tennis career because of injuries, without a doubt. Last year I was not here. Two years ago I was not here. The tournament continues. The world of tennis keeps going,” not long after he showed his sympathies and gratitude towards ‘Djoker’ by quoting “Novak is one of the most players of the last 20 years, the history of our sport. In a personal way, I feel sorry for him that he’s not able to travel here.”

The US Open 2022, which commences on 29th later this month is witnessed to have a set of mixed emotions from fans in regards to Serena Williams retirement post her performance at the championship is concluded and with the recent ban of the Serbian Novak Djokovic, things seem much unrealistic as ever.
