Drama doesn’t seem to leave Thanasi Kokkinakis. In the first-round match in the Madrid Open against Spaniard Jaume Munar, Thanasi Kokkinakis seemed to have lost more than just set points in both sets and the match. He also lost his temper while leading 4-2 in the second set.
In a dramatic match with both sets ending in the tiebreaker, Kokkinakis and Munar had some fiery verbal exchanges providing a lot more entertainment to the crowd. And what followed at the end of the match was even more enjoyable as it had every bit of entertainment and drama. Munar, with the home crowd behind him, won the match in straight sets 7-6(7), 7-6(3).

At Miami Open, he lost 5 match points against Hubert Hurcakz which left the Australian very disheartened. In the second round of the Australian Open, Kokkinakis won the first 2 sets against Andy Murray but eventually lost the match in 5 tough sets.
