Nick Kyrgios at the Championships
Nick Kyrgios, the Australian maverick, is looking for a great run in the grass season as he decided to skip the grass season to prepare for the same. Kyrgios has always been expected to rise higher in the ATP ranking, but people account for his lack of results to a casual attitude towards the game. Every tennis player harbors a dream of winning the Grand Slam at least once, and it’s no surprise that Nick Kyrgios has the same dream.
But, When the name Nick Kyrgios arises in the tennis sphere, most of the time, it’s due to some shenanigans on and off the court. He is always expected to reach the 2nd or 3rd round at any Grand Slam, but beyond that, he is never considered a serious competitor. His best results have been on the grass in the 2014 Wimbledon, where he reached the quarterfinals after defeating Rafael Nadal, and in the 2015 Australian Open for reaching the last 8.

Nick Kyrgios feels he has a shot at the title in London.
Kyrgios had already declared that he was the best player on the grass in the world and he moves forward with a lofty ambition of winning the title this year. He is very active in his social media accounts, and he took to his Instagram page for a quick QnA from his fans and asked them to put out any questions they feel Nick should answer. A fan asked him whether he would be able to win at the Championships, to which he declared that it was his goal to do so.
Kyrgios had a 15-7 record at the Championships, and his best run was in the 2014 edition. But, numerous challenges lie ahead of Kyrgios’s Wimbledon dream. There are already the hungry ATP top 10 guys, and some surprise elements are also roaming around for their moment in the sun. With so many talented and focused players in the hunt for a shot at the Wimbledon, it’s tough to consider Kyrgios winning the title. However, there is always room for surprise, and given the talent, Kyrgios has, if he works well enough, he might be able to get better. With just a teensy bit of luck, it’s not impossible for him to win as he is already known to produce his best tennis against the very best in the world.
He is a fun player to watch and whether he performs as he expects to at the Championships is a question for the coming months, fans would still be expecting delightful tennis from Kyrgios.
