Oh, what a day for the Serbian. To get back on form in his hometown is truly a privilege and a style. Novak Djokovic defeated Miomir Kecmanovic in 4-6,6-3,6-3. The Serbian started off to a slow start and eventually lost the first ser. But the determination and stamina to win enforced the world no. 1 to beat him in the next two sets and this shows us that the ‘Never Die’ attitude of the Serbian is put to show and his mental strength is also impressive.
The Serb started off slow and was still finding his stepping and taking one step at a time which made him lose the first set. But the surprise of the day came when Djokovic finally showed us why he was world no. 1 by beating Kecmanovic at his own game when he didn’t fall for the net shot and hit a clean forehand. The rest of the match was a lot more comfortable for Djokovic who was the one who served for the rest of the match.
Novak Djokovic and his next plans
Djokovic had the entire crowd standing when he won the match considering the fact that it was his hometown. He has progressed to the semi-finals, which is his first-ever semi-final of the year. However, it looks like fans don’t mind as here are some of the comments that have been posted after his win.
Novak Djokovic will now face Russian third seed Karen Khachanov in the semifinals on Friday. The Serb will be the favorite to win the match but it will also be his toughest outing of the week or possibly, even of the season.
