Considered a part of the elite ‘big three’ Djokovic has been going toe-to-toe with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal for years now and has cemented his position as a worthy competitor to them.
The Serb has been surrounded by controversies recently ever since the pandemic began, mostly due to his Covid-19 vaccination status. Djokovic made it clear that he does not plan on getting vaccinated for the virus anytime soon and his stance on the topic will not change. His decision to not take the vaccine has made him miss many tournaments.

Recently, American icon Serena Williams dropped a bombshell as she announced her imminent retirement from tennis. The 40-year-old American professional made the statement that she will be ending her glamourous career filled with titles after competing at the US Open which is the final major tournament of the season, it will also be the final tournament of her career.
After a post by the New York Times on Twitter, the post said, “Serena Williams’ last ride only thing that matters with U.S. Open a week away,” top journalist Seth Dillon took notice of the post and quoted it saying, “Wrong. The ridiculous, anti-science travel ban preventing Novak Djokovic from playing is the only thing that matters.“
Novak Djokovic’s situation of participation at the US Open has been a hot topic for months now, the Wimbledon champion has refused to get vaccinated for the Covid-19 vaccine and that has barred him from entering into the USA which denies him the opportunity to partake in the final major tournament of the season at the Flushing Meadows, people are equally as devasted over Serena Williams’s eventual retirement from tennis as the greatest female player of all time will be calling it quits very soon.
