Russian-born woman’s doubles player Natela Dzalamidze has won 2 WTA 125 doubles titles,10 singles titles, and 29 doubles titles on the ITF circuit. She is ranked 44 in doubles ranking as listed in the WTA.

As her life started in Moscow she fell in the loop of the Russian and Belarusian players banned by the Wimbledon. The All England Club came up with the decision of not allowing players from two countries to step into the court as a reason for their hand in attacking Ukraine. No Russian players will be allowed to compete at Wimbledon this year and the decision has had a lot of backlash for obvious reasons.

Natela Dzalamidze puts herself ahead of her country in order to continue playing tennis regularly

With the war disturbing the economy and the sport infrastructure of Ukraine, it is currently lagging 10 years back from rest of the countries. The European Union decided to take severe actions and imposed sanctions over Russia and Ukraine citizens who are internationally active in their professions. The 29-year-old Natela Dzalamidze, a doubles player from the banned country cleverly swapped her nationality as a Georgian. She now has the right to run on the grass without any obligation.  

Player nationality, defined as the flag they play under at professional events, is an agreed process that is governed by tours and the ITF,” the spokesman said.

Russia’s decision to destroy its neighbouring country Ukraine has spread anger among the globe as a return to fall under the rule of sanctions. The country has also been placed on the most sanctioned list. Apart from sports, oil economy has faced a terrible slow down reducing its production by 9 percent lesser than the usual period.

The IOC EB made a strong impulse to all the international federations to relocate and cancel all the sport events that are planned to take place in Russia and Belarus. In the order, FIFA has also expelled the countries in participating from the most popular event, the World Cup that is yet to be held in Quarter this year. Chess, skiing, swimming  and other events are taken from the participants of the war country.

However, it is only the Wimbledon who has put restrictions on the players of Russia and Belarus while no other grand Slams has imposed this rule. The US open has recently came up with their decision of permitting the Wimbledon banned country players under a neutral flag. Sticking with the rule also the globe number one Daniil Medvedev and two-time Australian Open Champion Victoria Azarenka stagged being not played in the most popular grand slam.
