Felix Auger Aliassime is hailed as one of the tough competitors of the next-gen stars of the sport. He has been incredibly seamless with his performances and is on a roll with winning back-to-back three ATP titles on the Tour in a single month. He won his 4th singles ATP title at the Swiss Indoors defeating Holger Rune in straight sets in 1hr and 40 minutes of play.
He has dropped only one set throughout the tournament which came in his first-round match against Marc-Andrea Huesler of Switzerland. He was very much consistent with his performances on his way to winning at the Firenze Open followed by his second consecutive win at the European Open. He had dropped only one set through both of the ATP tournaments.
He defeated the World No 1, Carlos Alcaraz, in the semi-finals in straight sets to register one of his most remarkable performances of the season. He is on a 13-match winning streak with three ATP in a single month. With his three consecutive wins, he finds improvement in his overall rankings as he climbs to the 6th spot.
He had even played a crucial part in taking Team World for their maiden victory at the Laver Cup. His win against the 21-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic on the final day gave his team the lead as they inched closer to victory. It was Felix Auger Aliassime’s fifth appearance in the finals on the ATP Tour out of which he has won four times.

With his win, it drew comparisons to the fact that people born on the 8th of August like to win in Basel as the Canadian share the same birthday as the 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer. Federer is also a 10-time champion in the Swiss Indoors and Aliassime even considers the Swiss maestro as his childhood idol.
Fans on social media applauded the 22-year-old Canadian for his fantastic and undefeated performances especially with his three title wins. But people also could not help but draw their comparisons between the newly crowned Basel champion and the retired Swiss legend where some pointed out the similarities and hailed Aliassime as the next champion in making.
