Carlos Alcaraz: “Djokovic has won Wimbledon, Nadal Roland‐Garros and the Australian Open, so there are a lot of great players in front of me at the moment”

Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic

Alcaraz already has a complete game, showing off powerful groundstrokes and the best drop shot around, but the most striking thing for a player of his age is his maturity on and off the court. Time and again all the big players in tennis have tipped the Spanish wonderkid to win many grand slams in future. The 19-year-old has been keeping himself away from the limelight and staying focused on his game. He also gives very careful statements in the media. Two weeks after his elimination in the knockout stages of Wimbledon against Jannik Sinner.

Recently, he gave his statements on the best player where he said, “I don’t think I’m the best player right now, Novak has won Wimbledon, Rafa Roland Garros and Australia, so there are a lot of great players ahead of me right now. I didn’t take it as pressure. It’s just motivation for me. In 2022, I learned how I have to play against the best players in the world, in big stadiums and in important moments. I learned how to deal with pressure, how to deal with nerves in big games, now I feel much more mature in that aspect,” as per WeloveTennis.
