Roger Federer, the 41-year-old Swiss professional is undoubtedly one of the greatest tennis players of all time, with 20 grand slam titles to his name, Federer is considered the undisputed GOAT along with Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic by millions of fans around the world who adore the Swiss legend.
Federer has missed out on most of 2022, the Swiss professional played his last game at the 2021 Wimbledon where he lost in the quarter-finals of the tournament to Hubert Hurkacz, later he revealed that he would be undergoing knee surgery and he would be out of many months. The Laver Cup is labeled as the tournament where Federer will make his comeback.

It is no secret that Roger Federer has been a lifelong fan of the Swiss football club, FC Basel, Federer is often seen supporting his favorite team from the stands and he has often openly talked about his love for the FC Basel. With billions of fans around the world, football is one of the most popular sports in the world and it is not surprising at all that Federer also is passionate about football.
Talking about the love Federer has for Basel back in 2020, he said, “The FCB was my club as a kid, and it is still today. Around 25 years ago, I was an unusual guest and passionate fan in the FCB old stadium. There were grounds made of stones around the stadium, and I was usually sitting on the left side where there were less people.”
The love Federer has had for this club continues to this day as the Swiss legend was seen celebrating FC Basel’s victory in the UEFA Europa Conference League last night against CSKA Sofia as Basel won the game 2-1 on aggregate in the playoffs for the entry into the tournament.
Federer was invited into the team dressing room after their hard-fought victory and FC Basel took to their social media handles to post the photo of the squad celebrating with Roger Federer amongst them.
