Three-time Wimbledon champion Boris Becker bids goodbye to ex-wife and son before possible seven-year jail term for fraud

Boris Becker
Three-time Wimbledon Grand Slam winner Boris Becker was charged with seven years of imprisonment when it was found that he was hiding hundreds of pounds through his property and through shifting his assets.
The former tennis star looked miserable as he looked to the prospect of jail and hugged his girlfriend Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro and bid goodbye to his son and wife as he is charged under the insolvency act trial the previous month.
The tennis sensation was found to have a £700,000 loan and did not tell a firm about the 75,000 shares he had bought. At the time he was caught and declared bankrupt. Last weekend too, the German was pictured with Lilly and their 12-year-old boy in south London before the father and son met up with his current girlfriend.
‘I hope my son doesn’t have to go to prison’: Boris Becker’s mother

The 3 time Wimbledon Grand Slam champion was very popular among fans for his aggressive style of playing. The former world no. 1 was a beloved player from the 1980s.
On getting acquitted, the tennis star’s mother Elvira Becker pleaded by saying that he is a “decent boy overall”, and further goes on to say I hope my son doesn’t have to go to prison. “I hope my son doesn’t have to go to prison.”
So how did he get bankrupt in the first place? Due to an expensive divorce, child maintenance payments and ‘expensive commitments.’
The 6-time Grand Slam champion Boris Becker has won over 49 titles under his belt and won the Wimbledon Open when he was merely 17 and unseeded. Looks like the verdict had been sentenced for the former world no. 1 and it all depends on the sentencing that will be passed on soon.
