The perpetrator, an 18-year-old Salvador Ramos from Texas, had bought two assault rifles on his birthday. He had shot his grandmother before going on a rampage in the school. It was another tragedy like the one just weeks ago in the United States. The first incident was on May 14 in Buffalo, New York, where another gunman shot and killed 10 Black victims at a supermarket.
The second one in Texas was even more devastating. Although the law enforcement officials were able to shoot down the perpetrator, he had already done the damage. This incident has caused a widespread uproar among the people on the gun regulation in the United States.
