World number six Ons Jabeur has a special request for former world number one Novak Djokovic. After her win over defending champion Elena Rybakina in the ongoing Wimbledon Championships, she asked the Serbian legend to stop copying her game routine.

The Tunisian star faced Rybakina in the quarterfinal which was also the repeat of last year’s final at the All-England Club. Rybakina had won the trophy last year but this time, she succumbed in front of the sixth seed.

Jabeur lost the first set 6-7(5-7) but made a brilliant comeback in the next two sets and emerged victorious with the score of 6-4, 6-1. After her win, she shared a picture on her Twitter where she and Djokovic can be seen having a similar routine.

Fans on Twitter are just laughing at Ons Jabeur’s post and some have opined that she is learning stuff from the best. Others suggested Jabeur chews the grass just like Novak Djokovic if she wins the title at SW19 as the Serb has a habit of chewing the grass after winning the title. Some fans also wished them both to win the trophy.

Ons Jabeur will now face Belarus’ Aryna Sabalenka in the semi-final on Thursday (July 13) on Centre Court. Sabalenka had defeated Madison Keys without breaking a sweat in the quarter-final. She won the match in straight sets 6-2, 6-4.

Sabalenka and Jabeur have faced each other four times in their career where the Belarusian leads their head-to-head record 3-1. Their last encounter was at the 2022 WTA Finals which was won by Sabalenka in three sets.

Meanwhile, Djokovic overcame Russia’s Andrey Rublev in the quarterfinal in four sets. After losing the first set 4-6, the 36-year-old played aggressively and finished the match quickly by winning the next three sets 6-1, 6-4, 6-3.

He will now face Italy’s Jannik Sinner and it will be an interesting match to watch. Sinner reached his first Grand Slam semi-final by beating Roman Safiullin in four sets 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2.

Though Djokovic is a heavy favorite at the All England Club, Sinner can prove a threat on the Serb’s road to the trophy. Last year at the Wimbledon quarterfinal, the four-time defending champion Djokovic rallied after 5-7, 2-6 to win the next three sets 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 against Sinner.
