The Russian then dominated the match, missing only one game in the third set and clinching the fourth set convincingly to win 2-6, 6-4, 6-1, 6-2.

Rublev advanced to the fourth round by defeating a trio of Frenchmen, Arthur Cazaux, Gael Monfils, and Arthur Rinderknech. He then competed in the quarterfinals against Jack Draper. In the fourth set, Draper was no match for Rublev. The Russian took a break in the fifth game to take a 3-2 lead.
