Ons Jabeur is a Tunisian tennis player who has brought great laurels for her country this year. She is currently ranked No.2 in the WTA rankings, and the highest-ranked African-Arab on either ATP or WTA rankings.

Many of her contemporaries have also commented on her playing style and competitive spirit. But also, they adore her.

Veronika Kudermetova is a Russian tennis player who is ranked No.9 in the world. She has commented on Ons Jabeur. She praised the Tunisian player for her demeanor on the court and off it.

Ons Jabeur is currently competing in the Mubadala World Tennis Championships being held in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Ons Jabeur had a fantastic and successful run this season. She started her season by playing in the Sydney International tournament as a suitable preparation ground for her Australian Open campaign. However, she had to withdraw from the tournament due to a back injury. She then played at the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championships.

She reached the fourth round of the Miami Open but was defeated by Daria Saville in three sets. The tennis star also reached the final of the Charleston Open but could not win here too. She was defeated by Belinda Bencic. She won her career’s first WTA 1000 title by defeating Jessica Pegula in the final of the Madrid Open. She also reached the final of the Italian Open but lost to Iga Swiatek.

She won the German Open in Berlin. She made history when she reached the final of the 2022 Wimbledon. She became the first African Arab to be able to do so. However, she could not win The Championships as Elena Rybakina defeated her in three sets. She also reached the final of the 2022 US Open. Here she again lost to Iga Swiatek. She made her debut in the WTA Finals 2022. Here she lost to Aryna Sabalenka and Maria Sakkari failing to qualify.

She has also represented her country Tunisia in the Fed Cup (now Billie Jean King Cup) and the Olympic Games held in Tokyo in 2021.
