Alcaraz beat the likes of Jenson Brooksby, Jannik Sinner, and Frances Tiafoe to book his place in the final. The Spaniard shows no signs of slowing down as he has been performing on a top level recently and he will be looking to keep these performances up in the final of the US Open as well.

Fans took to Twitter to laud the brilliant Carlos Alcaraz after he defeated Frances Tiafoe today in a thrilling semi-final that last over five sets as Alcaraz won the game by 6-7 (6), 6-3, 6-1, 6-7 (5), 6-3. Fans across social media compared Alcaraz’s playstyle to that of compatriot Rafael Nadal which is a very big comparison for someone as young as Alcaraz.

The Spaniard will be going up against Norwegian professional, Casper Rudd who defeated Karen Khachanov to book his place in the finals. Both the players will be battling it out for the US Open title and the chance to be the number 1 ranked player in the world.
