“What is her (Serena) legacy to you?” Kamau Murray upon asking Chanda Rubin to divulge her thoughts on the question highly praised and applauded Serena Williams‘ work ethic and her respect for the game, highlighting how she has empowered women and girls of the younger generation to “stay in their space and be respected” in a time where both these things aren’t mutually exclusive. In an awe of the American tennis star, Rubin also went on to address the potential of Williams doesn’t mean she never lost matches she could have won but instead fully grasped what was there for her.

While talking about the subject and her close companion, Rubin quoted, “She didn’t shy away from wanting it, because that’s the other part for females and girls” discussing no matter how hard things got, she gave tennis her absolute all and “that’s a beautiful thing to feel.”

In an interview with Forbes earlier disclosing her retirement plans, she mentioned how she looks forward to becoming a full-time capitalist venture and investing herself more into her capital venture company, Serena Ventures. Currently, at the moment, Serena is in full preparation for her performance at the US Open and as the world hopes, adds one last and final Grand Slam victory to her legacy.
