Novak Djokovic took his frustrations out on the net after smashing his racket during his much anticipated French Open quarter-final match against his long time adversary Rafael Nadal.

Novak Djokovic hits the net in frustration
Rafael Nadal had a strong start to the match, winning the first set and then rallying from a set down to win the third set as well. When it came to his opponent Djokovic, the Serb struggled with his service game at first, but he swiftly rebounded and won the second set. When the game was in its fourth set, Djokovic and Nadal had an exciting rally that culminated with the Spaniard claiming the final point.
As a result, with his chances of his 21st Grand Slam title slipping away, Novak Djokovic let his frustrations get the better of him as he smashed his racket at the change of ends. Before smashing his racket in the third set, the world number one had some feud with the umpire regarding some issues. Bizarrely, Djokovic has a history of becoming angry in his contests against the Spaniard after hitting a line judge in the 2020 US Open, which caused the Serbian to be defaulted.
