WATCH: “A true tennis fighter” Tennis Twitter reacts to Novak Djokovic learning martial art skills amid his US Open participation debate

Novak Djokovic learning the art of Capoeira
Novak Djokovic, the 23-time singles Grand Slam champion, has created havoc since the start of this year over his stance on the vaccination status as he has no intention to take it and compromise on his principles. His firm stance led to his deportation from Australia and was not able to participate in the Australian Open and also couldn’t defend his title. This impacted his performance at the French Open as he was unable to defend his title where he lost to the eventual winner Rafael Nadal. But overcoming his shortcomings, he won the singles title at the All England Club where he remains undefeated for the past four years with an unbeaten 28-match winning streak.
His 21st singles title triumph at the SW19 did not last much time as he faced another hurdle where he was not allowed to participate in the hard-court season over his ‘unvaccinated‘ status. It created a lot of buzz for denying his participation as he was allowed to participate last year at the US Open where he lost in the finals to Daniil Medvedev. He was hopeful that some change in rules could have given him another shot at winning another Grand Slam equalling Nadal‘s record of most number of singles Grand Slam but it looks like he has to wait for some time to achieve this feat.
