Ahead of the Citi Open, many players many already begun their practice sessions and the hunt for the title. Coco Gauff who is seeded third in the tournament is expected to excel at the competition after a disappointing Wimbledon Championships. She has already been practising really hard along with her new coach, Pere Riba, and also stated that both of them are working in full force.
She was lately seen sharing a great time along with her young fans on the court amidst her practice session ahead of the first-round matchup set to take place next week. She hugged all of the kids which was an adorable moment and it’s no secret how much Coco loves bonding with the youth encouraging them whenever possible having made it to the big stage at a very young age herself as well.
While the kids stayed there for a considerable amount of time getting their fan moment spot on, she gave it back to them by posing for several photos as well. The crowd was stacked up to watch the American practice and it’s no secret how much the crowd wants their local lad to do her best in the upcoming competition considering how much she has suffered in the last few months.
Will Pere Riba put an end to Coco Gauff’s miseries?

Coco has been having a lot of problems sticking to a single coach in her last nine matches. She has changed around eight coaches so far failing to find the right person to take her to her full potential.
She was enjoying the company of her father who was coaching her in the last few months but her disappointing run at the German Open forced her to sack her father and put all her trust in the young coach, Pere Riba.
The Spaniard joined forces with Coco ahead of the Wimbledon Championships but having not had much time to understand each other, they failed to undergo proper training. She lost to Sofia Kenin right in the very first round but since then, it has been a different story with both of them creating a great rapport. Gauff has also stated how much of a revelation Riba has been in her game since both joined forces.
