Novak Djokovic, the 35-year-old Serbian tennis professional is undoubtedly one of the greatest players of all time. With 21 grand slam titles to his name, very few players in the world can go toe-to-toe with Djokovic. The Serb has recently been capturing all of the headlines ever since he announced his participation in the Tel Aviv Open.
Djokovic was recently seen training at the beachside in Tel Aviv. The Serb seemed motivated to be competing in the tournament in Israel as he recently shared a message where he could not wait to participate. This will be the second tournament that Djokovic will be playing after his most recent Wimbledon triumph.

Soon after playing at the Laver Cup where Roger Federer finally retired, Djokovic came under a lot of heat from fans as he expressed his excitement to be playing in Tel Aviv next. The Serb posted throughout all of his social media platforms as he said, “I am very happy and excited to be back in Israel. Looking forward to a great experience.”
Many fans opined that Djokovic was being insensitive about the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict as she shared his happiness to be playing in Tel Aviv. Obviously, there were many fans who supported his decision as well. Before playing his first singles match on Thursday in Israel, Djokovic will first be competing in the doubles category on Wednesday.
The Serb’s only doubles title of his career came whilst playing alongside Jonathan Erlich. With Erlich retiring after the Tel Aviv Open, Djokovic decided to play in the doubles category with him in his farewell tournament. The Serb’s singles opponent is yet to be decided.
Many fans had mixed reactions to seeing Novak Djokovic train at the beachside in Tel Aviv, it is clear that fans are not happy with his participation but there are always supporters who support Djokovic through everything.
