Emma Raducanu, the 19-year-old prodigy quickly broke into the limelight as she won the US Open 2021 whilst just being an 18-year-old teenager as she defeated Leylah Fernandez in the finals of the tournament. The Britisher is preparing for her return to the hard court as she gears up to play at the Citi Open.
Raducanu has had a disappointing 2022 up till now as she has faced second round exits in every major tournament she has participated in this year, she will be looking to improve on her performance as the US Open is just around the corner starting from next month, but before she will make her debut at the Citi Open.

The Citi Open or the Washington Open will commence on the 1st of August and will end on the 7th of August, the tournament will provide for good practice for the defending US Open champion as she will be looking to secure some much needed points in the bag before the final major of the year commences.
The Citi Open social media handle posted glimpses of the 19-year-old practicing on the hard courts before the start of the tournament, the world number 10 was seen returning some shots as she looks to regain her form as she will be looking to defend her title as the defending US Open champion.
Currently sitting at world number 10 with 2717 points to her name, 2040 of which came through her heroics at the US Open last year, Raducanu will be looking to go far in these tournaments and secure an even higher rank and continue being one of the highest ranked players in the world.
The Britisher was also seen practicing with coach Dmitry Tursunov from Russia who will be assisting her throughout her US Tour as she gears up to defend her US Open title.
