Alexander Zverev is a German professional tennis player whose career peaks include titles at the 2018 and the 2021 ATP Finals and a gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The German is been called one of the rising stars in world tennis, Zverev’s young age made experts list him among the top stars in future. The German was raised in a Tennis family, his brother is also a tennis player and his father too played tennis.

He declared on social media that he suffered an ankle injury when he played the semi-final against Rafael Nadal in the French Open 2022 and that he is recovering from it. Zverev injured himself while sprinting after a shot late in the second set against Nadal, that’s when he fell to the ground, grabbing his right ankle, and wailing in agony which forced him to retire from the match.

Alexander Zverev returns to training in style

Zverev is currently recovering from the injury and he is updating his fans by posting pictures and videos on his social media account. He also shared a video of him recently where the German was seen walking with an injured foot putting some on it which raised questions about whether the German will play in the upcoming US Open which is scheduled to begin in late August.

The German has posted a video on his Instagram in which he was seen imitating Arnold Schwarzenegger’s famous scene in the movie ‘The Terminator‘. Zverev after his foot injury has returned to training ahead of the US Open, said “I will be back” in the video.

Zverev’s recent update on his injury has brought happiness to his fans who will be happy to see him back to training. World no.2 was recently named in the list of players announced for the US Open after missing out on Wimbledon this year.
