The second round of Wimbledon 2022 for Ugo Humbert was amazing in many ways. The first one was his great victory over the third seed, Casper Ruud. The French man started under pressure as Ruud took the first set 6-3, but soon it was Humbert who was getting in an amazing flow as he won the next three sets to ‘theoretically’ upset one of the top seeds. Though Humbert is a better grass-court player than Ruud, it was still an upset as Humbert moves onto the third round at Wimbledon 2022.
Apart from his great performance, there was another highlight from Humbert. After the beginning of the match was delayed due to the rain, the players arrived on the court, and they were just about to begin knocking some balls, Humbert was perplexed to find that his bag didn’t contain his racquets. It was a hilarious turn of events as Humbert explained to the umpire that he had forgotten his racquets and the umpire could just smile and wait for them to arrive.

It was a very unprecedented event that a player came to play one of the most important tennis matches and he forgets his tennis racquet of all things. “I do not have any rackets. I am sorry,” said Humbert to the umpire. The players had to wait for quite some time before someone rushed onto the court with three rackets, leading to a sheepish smile from the Frenchman. Twitteratis were also very amused by this incident. They had all kinds of hilarious responses to the incident.
