Naomi Osaka, the 24-year-old Japanese is widely regarded as one of the best players in the women’s circuit currently, the four-time Grand Slam winner is all set to return to the court after she confirms her participation in the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic tournament after she took a wild card entry in it.
This will be Osaka’s first tournament since the Roland Garros where she lost to Amanda Anisimova in the first round and she had to withdraw from the 2022 Wimbledon due to an Achilles heel injury as well. The tournament begins on the 1st August and will end on the 7th of August.

Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic shares a tribute video toward Naomi Osaka

Naomi Osaka made her main-draw WTA debut at the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic back in 2014, the tournament organizers took to Twitter to pay tribute to the former world number 1 by sharing a throwback thread of the former champion as she will be once again participating in the tournament this year through a wild card entry.
Thr organizers shared a series of pictures and videos which included Serena Williams taking a selfie with newcomer Osaka in one of the posts and another post showcased 16-year-old Osaka standing beside the scoreboard proudly displaying the result of the match, the Japanese’s return will be huge for the tournament and she will be looking to go all the way add yet another title to her fantastic career for someone so young.
Osaka has also been in the limelight for opening up about her mental health issues which helped a lot of athletes in giving them the courage to talk about theirs as mental health is mostly neglected in sports and Osaka talking about it will surely is a step in the right direction for the betterment of mental health.
