Serena Williams, the 40-year-old American is widely regarded as the greatest female tennis player of all time by millions around the world, with 23 Grand Slam titles to her name, there is no major title that the American icon hasn’t won. At 40 years old she is still a force to be reckoned with.

Currently competing at the Canadian Open, Serena Williams recorded her first ATP win in 14 months as she beat Nuria Parrizas-Diaz in the first round of the event by 6-3, 6-4. The 40-year-old was visibly struggling throughout the match but she pulled off a win in straight sets to book her place in the next round of the tournament.

Recording her first ATP-level victory in 14 months, Serena Williams fought through a straight sets victory in the first round of the Canadian Open, the highlight of the match, however, was Serena Williams’ daughter Olympia Ohanian’s adorable reaction to her mother winning her match after a long time.

4-year-old, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. was super excited due to the fact that her mother Serena Williams had finally won a match as she beat Parrizas Diaz in the first round of the Canadian Open. In a video shared by the tournament on their social media handle, Olympia was seen giving Serena Williams multiple high-fives before she gave a twirl and tripped over being so ecstatic over her mother’s victory.

In her post-match press conference, Williams said, I mean, it’s just one win, you know, it takes a lot. But I was happy, like I said, to have a win. It’s been a very long time. I forgot what it felt like.”

Talking about her daughter, she said, “You know, she’s never like sat at my match. So I was super excited. I looked over and I saw her in the first middle of the first set and I was like, ‘Oh, my God, why is she here?’ And then I went into mom mode, like, does she have on her sun cream.”
