Ons Jabeur is ready to brew some trouble on the Tour
The current World No.4 is one of the few brilliant players on the Tour but for quite some time she has not been able to perform according to her capabilities. The continuous injuries and issue with form hampered her chances of successes until now.
Ons Jabeur with her triumph in this WTA event, is now looking in a better position and well-prepared for the upcoming important tournaments on clay. Meanwhile, her competition has achieved many great feats in the last few months as the Tunisian struggled to find firm footing.
Aryna Sabalenka won the Australian Open 2023 women’s singles title. Elena Rybakina is the current Wimbledon champion and also won the Indian Wells Open women’s singles title. While, Iga Swiatek has struggled this season, she continues to be a big threat on the tour.
Ons Jabeur had acknowledged this evolving phenomena during a press meet at the Miami Open. However, she also promised that she would soon like to give tough competition to her opponents on the tour.
“Elena won Wimbledon last year. Aryna struggled a bit last year but she regained her confidence. Iga is Iga. I think they have a very powerful game so that’s why it’s great to see them doing amazing I think it’s great motivation for all of us. I know what great players they are and I think it’s fun to challenge them a bit, I have a completely different game from them so maybe it’s time that I make trouble for them a little bit,” she had declared.
