Novak Djokovic took to the court in today’s opening round of the French Open. The world’s No. 1 tennis player found himself against a somewhat familiar opponent in Yoshihito Nishioka.
Coming into this competition, these two players had opposing momentum. Djokovic has won his last five matches, while Nishioka has lost his last four. This is the third meeting between these two players, with Novak Djokovic winning both of their previous meetings in straight sets.
The match was exciting from the start, and it sparked more controversy when the fans booed the Serb in the second set, prompting the Serb to respond with a huge roar.

Novak Djokovic won the first game of the set with his serve but suffered as he had to save three break balls. Afterward, Yoshihito Nishioka Won the next game of the match with service in an easy way. But, the Serb quickly came back to take the grip and made the score 3-2. The World No.1 broke serve and took the lead in the first set and soon he was one game away from winning the set.
Nevertheless, the Serb didn’t take much time in ending the set with a score of 6-4 even though the Japanese tried to incline the game in his favour. This is the time when the whole crowd started booing him and tried to demolish his confidence but the Serb didn’t forget to showcase his antics on the court once again as he again scored a tough point and gave the crowd a perfect reply with a loud roar.
