Serena Williams is out there practising at her newly constructed court!!
Recently, Serena posted a story on her official Instagram account where the latter was seen practising on a hard court surface. Reports say that the court is newly constructed at her residence in Florida.
A Twitter user posted a screenshot of Serena’s story, claiming the former world no.1 is out for practising at 9am and asking her husband Alex Ohanian if the court was built during COVID to which Alex replied agreeing that was built around that time and also claimed that it’s an official US Open surface.
Serena Williams was on the official entry list released last week for Toronto, which would be her first North American hard-court event in two years and it comes after her first-round exit at Wimbledon in June. The three-time champion in Toronto last played there in 2019 when she retired because of back cramps in the final against Bianca Andreescu of Canada. Andreescu beat Serena Williams a month later in the final at the U.S. Open, for which Toronto is considered a tuneup event.
