Novak Djokovic has received a special request from one of the fans in attendance at the 2022 Paris Masters. While competing in Paris, the 21-time major champion was subject to a flattering request from one of his million fans across the world.

To no one’s surprise, the Serbian has a huge fanbase who all dream about meeting their idol in person and sometimes having a glass of wine with him in order to spend some quality time with the tennis star. The fan who was present in the stands during Novak’s quarterfinal encounter wanted to have a glass of wine and a selfie with the Serbian. The cameraman captured this wholesome moment, which garnered a lot of likes and attention from fans on social media.

The banner read: “We do not want your racket, we don’t want your shoes. We just want to have a glass of wine (and a selfie) with you.”

Novak Djokovic has been flawless throughout the week in Paris so far. The Serbian sailed into the semifinals with a straight-sets victory over Lorenzo Musetti. The sixth seed is yet to drop a set so far and will face Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semifinals on Saturday.

Novak Djokovic has played little tennis in the past couple of months, owing to the covid-19 restrictions. However, the 35-year-old has won all three tournaments he has played in the last four months, including Wimbledon 2022. The former World No. 1 last competed at the Astana Open, where he defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the finals.

Stefanos Tsitsipas has had an underwhelming hard-court season so far, which saw him lose in the finals of Astana and Stockholm Open. The Greek star has a poor head-to-head record against Novak Djokovic, trailing 8-2. However, the fifth seed could capitalize on the Serbian’s lack of playing tennis in the last four months.
