Williams won her first-round match against Danka Kovinic in straight sets keeping her US Open dreams alive. This time is particularly special for her as every match she’s playing could potentially be her last considering just this month, she announced her retirement from tennis.

Serena Williams has been a force of nature in women’s tennis for more than two decades now. In her personal interview with Vogue, she said, “I have never liked the word retirement.” She thinks of her retirement as an ‘evolution’. Amongst other big names, Spiderman star, Zendaya was spotted at the Arthur Ashe watching the champion play.

Zendaya in the crowd without Tom Holland has got people talking about their relationship

Zendaya was spotted at the Arthur Ashe stadium with her family, supporting Serena Williams in her second-round match against Kontaveit. But fans are searching for her longtime boyfriend Tom Holland who doesn’t appear to be in the stands with her just a day before her birthday. Zendaya was recently in Budapest shooting the sequel of Dune. Just last week the couple was spotted in Hungary together.

Tom Holland is currently on a social media diet. The couple were seen enjoying a scooter ride the past week in Budapest but the whereabouts of Holland right now remains unclear. He is most likely shooting a new series.

In addition to Zendaya, Tiger Woods was spotted enjoying the match with his girlfriend Erica Herman. Serena Williams always gets the crowd going during her matches. Big names like Gigi Hadid and Anna Wintour were spotted during Williams’ first-round match. Serena Williams is eyeing a record 7th US Open title this year. Currently, Williams and Chris Evert hold the record for most US Open titles with 6 each.
