Andrey Rublev is a Russian tennis player. He is considered one of the most talented players Russia has produced in recent times. In a recent interview, he remembers an incident involving him and fellow Russian Daniil Medvedev. Both the players played a match in a junior tournament.

“After that, I realized we were both crazy. We were just making lobs. Each exchange lasted 10 minutes. We were doing these high balls until we were exhausted. One of us planted himself on the lob and three minutes of crying and throwing rackets followed,” Rublev said.

“I think we played without linesmen so that was good. No one killed themselves watching all this. Then the next point, again 10 minutes of play, 3 minutes of crying. One of us was rolling on the court after winning that point and another was crying. And it lasted 3.4 hours like that. We freaked out differently. I was throwing rackets, I was crying, I was moaning. Daniil was throwing rackets, but without crying or moaning. Instead, he was yelling at everything and everyone around him… If anyone passed by, he would feel like he was going to hell. I was taking clay from the field and eating it,” he further added.
