For a couple of years, Felix Auger Aliassime has remained one of the brightest prospects on tour. After a successful 2021 season which saw him reach the US Open semifinals, many expected him to finally realize his potential. However, he did not quite touch the benchmark set for him this season, until the last couple of months.

Felix Auger Aliassime is in red-hot form at the moment, as he currently sits on a winning streak of 16 matches. His extraordinary run has earned him a flattering remark from one of the most controversial personalities on the tour, Nick Kyrgios. The Australian had recently tweeted about the Canadian’s unbreakable streak, which read as: “When is FAA gonna lose?”

After clinching a semifinal berth at the ongoing Paris Masters, Felix Auger Aliassime has responded to Nick Kyrgios’ comments. The Canadian does not want to get carried away, and wanted to be as humble as possible while talking about his red hot streak.

Felix Auger Aliassime outplayed Frances Tiafoe in the quarterfinals of Paris Masters on Friday evening. The Canadian will now face Holger Rune in the semifinals, as he looks to extend his winning streak. In response to Nick Kyrgios comments, the youngster stated that he is not carried away by his current form, and wants to treat each match on an individual basis.

We’ll see when I lose. I mean, I’m not focused on that. I mean, enjoying, you know, my streak. Just showing up to every match with the same attitude and with the same fighting spirit and just focused. That’s what I’m trying to do. I’m just trying my best, and we’ll see what the outcome is at the end of this week,” said Felix, as quoted by Express UK.

Felix Auger Aliassime could become the first man in almost four decades to win four consecutive titles in as many weeks. The Canadian number one started his incredible run with a title in Firenze, followed by a European Open title. Last week, he claimed the Basel Open title with a straight sets victory over Holger Rune in the final.

Can Holger Rune exact his revenge and end the Canadian’s winning streak?
